Surah Aal-i-Imraan Ayah 183
سُورَةُ آلِ عِمۡرَانَSurah Aal-i-Imran discusses the family of Imran, including Maryam and Isa (Jesus). It was revealed partly in response to a Christian delegation from Najran and addresses theological discussions about the nature of Jesus.
ٱلَّذِینَ قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَهِدَ إِلَیۡنَاۤ أَلَّا نُؤۡمِنَ لِرَسُولٍ حَتَّىٰ یَأۡتِیَنَا بِقُرۡبَانࣲ تَأۡكُلُهُ ٱلنَّارُۗ قُلۡ قَدۡ جَاۤءَكُمۡ رُسُلࣱ مِّن قَبۡلِی بِٱلۡبَیِّنَـٰتِ وَبِٱلَّذِی قُلۡتُمۡ فَلِمَ قَتَلۡتُمُوهُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ
[They are] those who said, "Indeed, Allah has taken our promise not to believe any messenger until he brings us an offering which fire [from heaven] will consume." Say, "There have already come to you messengers before me with clear proofs and [even] that of which you speak. So why did you kill them, if you should be truthful?"
جو لوگ کہتے ہیں "اللہ نے ہم کو ہدایت کر دی ہے کہ ہم کسی کو رسول تسلیم نہ کریں جب تک وہ ہمارے سامنے ایسی قربانی نہ کرے جسے (غیب سے آکر) آگ کھا لے "، اُن سے کہو، "تمہارے پاس مجھ سے پہلے بہت سے رسول آ چکے ہیں جو بہت سی روشن نشانیاں لائے تھے اور وہ نشانی بھی لائے تھے جس کا تم ذکر کرتے ہو، پھر اگر (ایمان لانے کے لیے یہ شرط پیش کرنے میں) تم سچے ہو تو اُن رسولوں کو تم نے کیوں قتل کیا؟"
