Surah Al-A’raaf Ayah 156
سُورَةُ الأَعۡرَافِSurah Al-A'raf narrates the stories of many prophets and their nations, emphasizing the consequences of rejecting divine guidance. The name refers to the heights between Paradise and Hell.
۞ وَٱكۡتُبۡ لَنَا فِی هَـٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنۡیَا حَسَنَةࣰ وَفِی ٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةِ إِنَّا هُدۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡكَۚ قَالَ عَذَابِیۤ أُصِیبُ بِهِۦ مَنۡ أَشَاۤءُۖ وَرَحۡمَتِی وَسِعَتۡ كُلَّ شَیۡءࣲۚ فَسَأَكۡتُبُهَا لِلَّذِینَ یَتَّقُونَ وَیُؤۡتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱلَّذِینَ هُم بِـَٔایَـٰتِنَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ
And decree for us in this world [that which is] good and [also] in the Hereafter; indeed, we have turned back to You." [Allah] said, "My punishment - I afflict with it whom I will, but My mercy encompasses all things." So I will decree it [especially] for those who fear Me and give zakah and those who believe in Our verses -
اور ہمارے لیے اس دنیا کی بھلائی بھی لکھ دیجیے اور آخرت کی بھی، ہم نے آپ کی طرف رجوع کر لیا" جواب میں ارشاد ہوا "سزا تو میں جسے چاہتا ہوں دیتا ہوں، مگر میری رحمت ہر چیز پر چھائی ہوئی ہے، اور اُسے میں اُن لوگوں کے حق میں لکھوں گا جو نافرمانی سے پرہیز کریں گے، زکوٰۃ دیں گے اور میری آیات پر ایمان لائیں گے"
