Surah Al-A'raf narrates the stories of many prophets and their nations, emphasizing the consequences of rejecting divine guidance. The name refers to the heights between Paradise and Hell.

قُلۡ مَنۡ حَرَّمَ زِینَةَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِیۤ أَخۡرَجَ لِعِبَادِهِۦ وَٱلطَّیِّبَـٰتِ مِنَ ٱلرِّزۡقِۚ قُلۡ هِیَ لِلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ فِی ٱلۡحَیَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡیَا خَالِصَةࣰ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِۗ كَذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلۡـَٔایَـٰتِ لِقَوۡمࣲ یَعۡلَمُونَ
English

Say, "Who has forbidden the adornment of Allah which He has produced for His servants and the good [lawful] things of provision?" Say, "They are for those who believe during the worldly life [but] exclusively for them on the Day of Resurrection." Thus do We detail the verses for a people who know.
