Surah Al-A’raaf Ayah 88
سُورَةُ الأَعۡرَافِSurah Al-A'raf narrates the stories of many prophets and their nations, emphasizing the consequences of rejecting divine guidance. The name refers to the heights between Paradise and Hell.
۞ قَالَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوا۟ مِن قَوۡمِهِۦ لَنُخۡرِجَنَّكَ یَـٰشُعَیۡبُ وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَكَ مِن قَرۡیَتِنَاۤ أَوۡ لَتَعُودُنَّ فِی مِلَّتِنَاۚ قَالَ أَوَلَوۡ كُنَّا كَـٰرِهِینَ
Said the eminent ones who were arrogant among his people, "We will surely evict you, O Shu'ayb, and those who have believed with you from our city, or you must return to our religion." He said, "Even if we were unwilling?"
اس کی قوم کے سرداروں نے، جو اپنی بڑائی کے گھمنڈ میں مبتلا تھے، ا س سے کہا کہ "اے شعیبؑ، ہم تجھے اور اُن لوگوں کو جو تیرے ساتھ ایمان لائے ہیں اپنی بستی سے نکال دیں گے ورنہ تم لوگوں کو ہماری ملت میں واپس آنا ہوگا" شعیبؑ نے جواب دیا "کیا زبردستی ہمیں پھیرا جائے گا خواہ ہم راضی نہ ہوں؟
