Surah Al-Baqara Ayah 216
سُورَةُ البَقَرَةِSurah Al-Baqara is the longest chapter of the Quran, revealed in Madinah. It provides comprehensive guidance on Islamic law, stories of previous prophets, and instructions for building a righteous Muslim community.
كُتِبَ عَلَیۡكُمُ ٱلۡقِتَالُ وَهُوَ كُرۡهࣱ لَّكُمۡۖ وَعَسَىٰۤ أَن تَكۡرَهُوا۟ شَیۡـࣰٔا وَهُوَ خَیۡرࣱ لَّكُمۡۖ وَعَسَىٰۤ أَن تُحِبُّوا۟ شَیۡـࣰٔا وَهُوَ شَرࣱّ لَّكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ یَعۡلَمُ وَأَنتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ
Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you. But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.
تمہیں جنگ کا حکم دیا گیا ہے اور وہ تمہیں ناگوار ہے ہوسکتا ہے کہ ایک چیز تمہیں ناگوار ہو اور وہی تمہارے لیے بہتر ہو اور ہوسکتا ہے کہ ایک چیز تمہیں پسند ہو اور وہی تمہارے لیے بری ہو اللہ جانتا ہے، تم نہیں جانتے
