Surah Al-Baqara Ayah 234
سُورَةُ البَقَرَةِSurah Al-Baqara is the longest chapter of the Quran, revealed in Madinah. It provides comprehensive guidance on Islamic law, stories of previous prophets, and instructions for building a righteous Muslim community.
وَٱلَّذِینَ یُتَوَفَّوۡنَ مِنكُمۡ وَیَذَرُونَ أَزۡوَ ٰجࣰا یَتَرَبَّصۡنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ أَرۡبَعَةَ أَشۡهُرࣲ وَعَشۡرࣰاۖ فَإِذَا بَلَغۡنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَیۡكُمۡ فِیمَا فَعَلۡنَ فِیۤ أَنفُسِهِنَّ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِیرࣱ
And those who are taken in death among you and leave wives behind - they, [the wives, shall] wait four months and ten [days]. And when they have fulfilled their term, then there is no blame upon you for what they do with themselves in an acceptable manner. And Allah is [fully] Acquainted with what you do.
تم میں سے جو لوگ مر جائیں، اُن کے پیچھے اگر اُن کی بیویاں زندہ ہوں، تو وہ اپنے آپ کو چار مہینے، دس دن روکے رکھیں پھر جب ان کی عدت پوری ہو جائے، تو انہیں اختیار ہے، اپنی ذات کے معاملے میں معروف طریقے سے جو چاہیں، کریں تم پر اس کی کوئی ذمہ داری نہیں اللہ تم سب کے اعمال سے باخبر ہے
