Surah Al-Baqara Ayah 54
سُورَةُ البَقَرَةِSurah Al-Baqara is the longest chapter of the Quran, revealed in Madinah. It provides comprehensive guidance on Islamic law, stories of previous prophets, and instructions for building a righteous Muslim community.
وَإِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوۡمِهِۦ یَـٰقَوۡمِ إِنَّكُمۡ ظَلَمۡتُمۡ أَنفُسَكُم بِٱتِّخَاذِكُمُ ٱلۡعِجۡلَ فَتُوبُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ بَارِىِٕكُمۡ فَٱقۡتُلُوۤا۟ أَنفُسَكُمۡ ذَ ٰلِكُمۡ خَیۡرࣱ لَّكُمۡ عِندَ بَارِىِٕكُمۡ فَتَابَ عَلَیۡكُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ
And [recall] when Moses said to his people, "O my people, indeed you have wronged yourselves by your taking of the calf [for worship]. So repent to your Creator and kill yourselves. That is best for [all of] you in the sight of your Creator." Then He accepted your repentance; indeed, He is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
یاد کرو جب موسیٰؑ (یہ نعمت لیتے ہوئے پلٹا، تو اُس) نے اپنی قوم سے کہا کہ "لوگو، تم نے بچھڑے کو معبود بنا کر اپنے اوپر سخت ظلم کیا ہے، لہٰذا تم لوگ اپنے خالق کے حضور توبہ کرو اور اپنی جانوں کو ہلاک کرو، اسی میں تمہارے خالق کے نزدیک تمہاری بہتری ہے" اُس وقت تمہارے خالق نے تمہاری توبہ قبول کر لی کہ وہ بڑا معاف کرنے والا اور رحم فرمانے والا ہے
