Surah Aal-i-Imraan Ayah 79
سُورَةُ آلِ عِمۡرَانَSurah Aal-i-Imran discusses the family of Imran, including Maryam and Isa (Jesus). It was revealed partly in response to a Christian delegation from Najran and addresses theological discussions about the nature of Jesus.
مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَن یُؤۡتِیَهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلۡحُكۡمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ یَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُوا۟ عِبَادࣰا لِّی مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَـٰكِن كُونُوا۟ رَبَّـٰنِیِّـۧنَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تُعَلِّمُونَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ وَبِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَدۡرُسُونَ
It is not for a human [prophet] that Allah should give him the Scripture and authority and prophethood and then he would say to the people, "Be servants to me rather than Allah," but [instead, he would say], "Be pious scholars of the Lord because of what you have taught of the Scripture and because of what you have studied."
کسی آدمی کو شایاں نہیں کہ خدا تو اسے کتاب اور حکومت اور نبوت عطا فرمائے اور وہ لوگوں سے کہے کہ خدا کو چھوڑ کر میرے بندے ہو جاؤ بلکہ (اس کو یہ کہنا سزاوار ہے کہ اے اہلِ کتاب) تم (علمائے) ربانی ہو جاؤ کیونکہ تم کتابِ (خدا) پڑھتے پڑھاتے رہتے ہو
