Surah Al-A’raaf Ayah 142
سُورَةُ الأَعۡرَافِSurah Al-A'raf narrates the stories of many prophets and their nations, emphasizing the consequences of rejecting divine guidance. The name refers to the heights between Paradise and Hell.
۞ وَوَ ٰعَدۡنَا مُوسَىٰ ثَلَـٰثِینَ لَیۡلَةࣰ وَأَتۡمَمۡنَـٰهَا بِعَشۡرࣲ فَتَمَّ مِیقَـٰتُ رَبِّهِۦۤ أَرۡبَعِینَ لَیۡلَةࣰۚ وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَخِیهِ هَـٰرُونَ ٱخۡلُفۡنِی فِی قَوۡمِی وَأَصۡلِحۡ وَلَا تَتَّبِعۡ سَبِیلَ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِینَ
And We made an appointment with Moses for thirty nights and perfected them by [the addition of] ten; so the term of his Lord was completed as forty nights. And Moses said to his brother Aaron, "Take my place among my people, do right [by them], and do not follow the way of the corrupters."
اور ہم نے موسیٰ سے تیس رات کی میعاد مقرر کی۔ اور اس دس (راتیں) اور ملا کر اسے پورا (چلّہ) کردیا تو اس کے پروردگار کی چالیس رات کی میعاد پوری ہوگئی۔ اور موسیٰ نے اپنے بھائی ہارون سے کہا کہ میرے (کوہِٰ طور پر جانے کے) بعد تم میری قوم میں میرے جانشین ہو (ان کی) اصلاح کرتے رہنا ٹھیک اور شریروں کے رستے نہ چلنا
