Surah Al-Burooj

By the sky containing great stars

قسم ہے مضبوط قلعوں والے آسمان کی

And [by] the promised Day

اور اُس دن کی جس کا وعدہ کیا گیا ہے

And [by] the witness and what is witnessed,

اور دیکھنے والے کی اور دیکھی جانے والی چیز کی

Cursed were the companions of the trench

کہ مارے گئے گڑھے والے

[Containing] the fire full of fuel,

(اُس گڑھے والے) جس میں خوب بھڑکتے ہوئے ایندھن کی آگ تھی

When they were sitting near it

جبکہ وہ اُس گڑھے کے کنارے بیٹھے ہوئے تھے

And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses.

اور جو کچھ وہ ایمان لانے والوں کے ساتھ کر رہے تھے اُسے دیکھ رہے تھے

And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy,

اور اُن اہل ایمان سے اُن کی دشمنی اِس کے سوا کسی وجہ سے نہ تھی کہ وہ اُس خدا پر ایمان لے آئے تھے جو زبردست اور اپنی ذات میں آپ محمود ہے

To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness.

جو آسمانوں اور زمین کی سلطنت کا مالک ہے، اور وہ خدا سب کچھ دیکھ رہا ہے

Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.

جن لوگوں نے مومن مردوں اور عورتوں پر ظلم و ستم توڑا اور پھر اس سے تائب نہ ہوئے، یقیناً اُن کے لیے جہنم کا عذاب ہے اور ان کے لیے جلائے جانے کی سزا ہے

Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment.

جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور جنہوں نے نیک عمل کیے، یقیناً اُن کے لیے جنت کے باغ ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہوں گی، یہ ہے بڑی کامیابی

Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe.

درحقیقت تمہارے رب کی پکڑ بڑی سخت ہے

Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats.

وہی پہلی بار پیدا کرتا ہے اور وہی دوبارہ پیدا کرے گا

And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate,

اور وہ بخشنے والا ہے، محبت کرنے والا ہے

Honorable Owner of the Throne,

عرش کا مالک ہے، بزرگ و برتر ہے

Effecter of what He intends.

اور جو کچھ چاہے کر ڈالنے والا ہے

Has there reached you the story of the soldiers -

کیا تمہیں لشکروں کی خبر پہنچی ہے؟

[Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud?

فرعون اور ثمود (کے لشکروں) کی؟

But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial,

مگر جنہوں نے کفر کیا ہے وہ جھٹلانے میں لگے ہوئے ہیں

While Allah encompasses them from behind.

حالانکہ اللہ نے ان کو گھیرے میں لے رکھا ہے

But this is an honored Qur'an

(اُن کے جھٹلانے سے اِس قرآن کا کچھ نہیں بگڑتا) بلکہ یہ قرآن بلند پایہ ہے

[Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate.

اُس لوح میں (نقش ہے) جو محفوظ ہے
