Surah Al-Hadid Ayah 20
سُورَةُ الحَدِيدِSurah Al-Hadid glorifies Allah and calls for spending in His cause. It mentions iron sent down with great benefits and emphasizes the fleeting nature of worldly life.
ٱعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّمَا ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَا لَعِبࣱ وَلَهۡوࣱ وَزِینَةࣱ وَتَفَاخُرُۢ بَیۡنَكُمۡ وَتَكَاثُرࣱ فِی ٱلۡأَمۡوَ ٰلِ وَٱلۡأَوۡلَـٰدِۖ كَمَثَلِ غَیۡثٍ أَعۡجَبَ ٱلۡكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهُۥ ثُمَّ یَهِیجُ فَتَرَىٰهُ مُصۡفَرࣰّا ثُمَّ یَكُونُ حُطَـٰمࣰاۖ وَفِی ٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةِ عَذَابࣱ شَدِیدࣱ وَمَغۡفِرَةࣱ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضۡوَ ٰنࣱۚ وَمَا ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَاۤ إِلَّا مَتَـٰعُ ٱلۡغُرُورِ
Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.
جان رکھو کہ دنیا کی زندگی محض کھیل اور تماشا اور زینت (وآرائش) اور تمہارے آپس میں فخر (وستائش) اور مال واولاد کی ایک دوسرے سے زیادہ طلب (وخواہش) ہے (اس کی مثال ایسی ہے) جیسے بارش کہ (اس سے کھیتی اُگتی اور) کسانوں کو کھیتی بھلی لگتی ہے پھر وہ خوب زور پر آتی ہے پھر (اے دیکھنے والے) تو اس کو دیکھتا ہے کہ (پک کر) زرد پڑ جاتی ہے پھر چورا چورا ہوجاتی ہے اور آخرت میں (کافروں کے لئے) عذاب شدید اور (مومنوں کے لئے) خدا کی طرف سے بخشش اور خوشنودی ہے۔ اور دنیا کی زندگی تو متاع فریب ہے
