Surah Al-Hajj Ayah 11
سُورَةُ الحَجِّSurah Al-Hajj discusses the rituals of Hajj pilgrimage and the sanctity of the Ka'bah. It vividly describes the Day of Judgment and calls for devotion to Allah.
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن یَعۡبُدُ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ حَرۡفࣲۖ فَإِنۡ أَصَابَهُۥ خَیۡرٌ ٱطۡمَأَنَّ بِهِۦۖ وَإِنۡ أَصَابَتۡهُ فِتۡنَةٌ ٱنقَلَبَ عَلَىٰ وَجۡهِهِۦ خَسِرَ ٱلدُّنۡیَا وَٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةَۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلۡخُسۡرَانُ ٱلۡمُبِینُ
And of the people is he who worships Allah on an edge. If he is touched by good, he is reassured by it; but if he is struck by trial, he turns on his face [to the other direction]. He has lost [this] world and the Hereafter. That is what is the manifest loss.
اور لوگوں میں بعض ایسا بھی ہے جو کنارے پر (کھڑا ہو کر) خدا کی عبادت کرتا ہے۔ اگر اس کو کوئی (دنیاوی) فائدہ پہنچے تو اس کے سبب مطمئن ہوجائے اور اگر کوئی آفت پڑے تو منہ کے بل لوٹ جائے (یعنی پھر کافر ہوجائے) اس نے دنیا میں بھی نقصان اٹھایا اور آخرت میں بھی۔ یہی تو نقصان صریح ہے
