Surah Al-Masad (Lahab)

سُورَةُ المَسَدِ
The Palm Fibre 5 Ayahs Meccan Juz 30

Surah Al-Masad condemns Abu Lahab and his wife for their fierce opposition to the Prophet. It declares that their wealth will not benefit them.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ تَبَّتۡ یَدَاۤ أَبِی لَهَبࣲ وَتَبَّ
English

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.

مَاۤ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ
English

His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.

سَیَصۡلَىٰ نَارࣰا ذَاتَ لَهَبࣲ
English

He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame

4
وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلۡحَطَبِ
English

And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.

5
فِی جِیدِهَا حَبۡلࣱ مِّن مَّسَدِۭ
English

Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.
