Surah An-Noor Ayah 16
سُورَةُ النُّورِSurah An-Nur establishes laws protecting family honor and social morality. It contains the famous Light Verse (Ayat an-Nur) describing Allah as the Light of the heavens and earth.

وَلَوۡلَاۤ إِذۡ سَمِعۡتُمُوهُ قُلۡتُم مَّا یَكُونُ لَنَاۤ أَن نَّتَكَلَّمَ بِهَـٰذَا سُبۡحَـٰنَكَ هَـٰذَا بُهۡتَـٰنٌ عَظِیمࣱ
English
And why, when you heard it, did you not say, "It is not for us to speak of this. Exalted are You, [O Allah]; this is a great slander"?
Urdu
اور جب تم نے اسے سنا تھا تو کیوں نہ کہہ دیا کہ ہمیں شایاں نہیں کہ ایسی بات زبان پر نہ لائیں۔ (پروردگار) تو پاک ہے یہ تو (بہت) بڑا بہتان ہے
