Surah Saad Ayah 3
سُورَةُ صٓSurah Sad begins with the mysterious letter Sad and presents stories of Prophets Dawud and Sulayman, along with the story of Iblis's refusal to prostrate to Adam.

كَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّن قَرۡنࣲ فَنَادَوا۟ وَّلَاتَ حِینَ مَنَاصࣲ
English
How many a generation have We destroyed before them, and they [then] called out; but it was not a time for escape.

ہم نے ان سے پہلے بہت سی اُمتوں کو ہلاک کردیا تو وہ (عذاب کے وقت) لگے فریاد کرنے اور وہ رہائی کا وقت نہیں تھا
