Surah Al-Inshiqaaq

سُورَةُ الانشِقَاقِ
The Splitting Open 25 Ayahs Meccan Juz 30

Surah Al-Inshiqaq describes the sky splitting and the earth flattening on Judgment Day. It mentions receiving records in the right or left hand.

1
اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْشَقَّتْ ۟ۙ
English

When the sky has split [open]

2
وَاَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ ۟ۙ
English

And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so]

3
وَاِذَا الْاَرْضُ مُدَّتْ ۟ؕ
English

And when the earth has been extended

4
وَاَلْقَتْ مَا فِیْهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ ۟ۙ
English

And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it]

5
وَاَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ ۟ؕ
English

And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] -

6
یٰۤاَیُّهَا الْاِنْسَانُ اِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ اِلٰی رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلٰقِیْهِ ۟ۚ
English

O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it.

7
فَاَمَّا مَنْ اُوْتِیَ كِتٰبَهٗ بِیَمِیْنِهٖ ۟ۙ
English

Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand,

8
فَسَوْفَ یُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا یَّسِیْرًا ۟ۙ
English

He will be judged with an easy account

9
وَّیَنْقَلِبُ اِلٰۤی اَهْلِهٖ مَسْرُوْرًا ۟ؕ
English

And return to his people in happiness.

10
وَاَمَّا مَنْ اُوْتِیَ كِتٰبَهٗ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهٖ ۟ۙ
English

But as for he who is given his record behind his back,

11
فَسَوْفَ یَدْعُوْا ثُبُوْرًا ۟ۙ
English

He will cry out for destruction

12
وَّیَصْلٰی سَعِیْرًا ۟ؕ
English

And [enter to] burn in a Blaze.

13
اِنَّهٗ كَانَ فِیْۤ اَهْلِهٖ مَسْرُوْرًا ۟ؕ
English

Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness;

14
اِنَّهٗ ظَنَّ اَنْ لَّنْ یَّحُوْرَ ۟ۚۛ
English

Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allah].

15
بَلٰۤی ۛۚ اِنَّ رَبَّهٗ كَانَ بِهٖ بَصِیْرًا ۟ؕ
English

But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing.

16
فَلَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِ ۟ۙ
English

So I swear by the twilight glow

17
وَالَّیْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ ۟ۙ
English

And [by] the night and what it envelops

18
وَالْقَمَرِ اِذَا اتَّسَقَ ۟ۙ
English

And [by] the moon when it becomes full

19
لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَنْ طَبَقٍ ۟ؕ
English

[That] you will surely experience state after state.

20
فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ ۟ۙ
English

So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe,

21
وَاِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَیْهِمُ الْقُرْاٰنُ لَا یَسْجُدُوْنَ ۟
English

And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]?

22
بَلِ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا یُكَذِّبُوْنَ ۟ؗۖ
English

But those who have disbelieved deny,

23
وَاللّٰهُ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا یُوْعُوْنَ ۟ؗۖ
English

And Allah is most knowing of what they keep within themselves.

24
فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ اَلِیْمٍ ۟ۙ
English

So give them tidings of a painful punishment,

25
اِلَّا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمْ اَجْرٌ غَیْرُ مَمْنُوْنٍ ۟۠
English

Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterrupted.
