Surah Al-Waaqia

When the Occurrence occurs,

جب وہ ہونے والا واقعہ پیش آ جائے گا

There is, at its occurrence, no denial.

تو کوئی اس کے وقوع کو جھٹلانے والا نہ ہوگا

It will bring down [some] and raise up [others].

وہ تہ و بالا کر دینے والی آفت ہوگی

When the earth is shaken with convulsion

زمین اس وقت یکبارگی ہلا ڈالی جائے گی

And the mountains are broken down, crumbling

اور پہاڑ اس طرح ریزہ ریزہ کر دیے جائیں گے

And become dust dispersing.

کہ پراگندہ غبار بن کر رہ جائیں گے

And you become [of] three kinds:

تم لوگ اُس وقت تین گروہوں میں تقسیم ہو جاؤ گے

Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?

دائیں بازو والے، سو دائیں بازو والوں (کی خوش نصیبی) کا کیا کہنا

And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?

اور بائیں بازو والے، تو بائیں بازو والوں (کی بد نصیبی کا) کا کیا ٹھکانا

And the forerunners, the forerunners -

اور آگے والے تو پھر آگے وا لے ہی ہیں

Those are the ones brought near [to Allah]

وہی تو مقرب لوگ ہیں

In the Gardens of Pleasure,

نعمت بھری جنتوں میں رہیں گے

A [large] company of the former peoples

اگلوں میں سے بہت ہوں گے

And a few of the later peoples,

اور پچھلوں میں سے کم

On thrones woven [with ornament],

مرصع تختوں پر

Reclining on them, facing each other.

تکیے لگا ئے آمنے سامنے بیٹھیں گے

There will circulate among them young boys made eternal

اُن کی مجلسوں میں ابدی لڑکے شراب چشمہ جاری سے

With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring -

لبریز پیالے کنٹر اور ساغر لیے دوڑتے پھرتے ہونگے

No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated -

جسے پی کر نہ اُن کا سر چکرائے گا نہ ان کی عقل میں فتور آئے گا

And fruit of what they select

اور وہ اُن کے سامنے طرح طرح کے لذیذ پھل پیش کریں گے جسے چاہیں چن لیں

And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire.

اور پرندوں کے گوشت پیش کریں گے کہ جس پرندے کا چاہیں استعمال کریں

And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes,

اور ان کے لیے خوبصورت آنکھوں والی حوریں ہونگی

The likenesses of pearls well-protected,

ایسی حسین جیسے چھپا کر رکھے ہوئے موتی

As reward for what they used to do.

یہ سب کچھ اُن اعمال کی جزا کے طور پر انہیں ملے گا جو وہ دنیا میں کرتے رہے تھے

They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin -

وہاں وہ کوئی بیہودہ کلام یا گناہ کی بات نہ سنیں گے

Only a saying: "Peace, peace."

جو بات بھی ہوگی ٹھیک ٹھیک ہوگی

The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?

اور دائیں بازو والے، دائیں بازو والوں کی خوش نصیبی کا کیا کہنا

[They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed

وہ بے خار بیریوں

And [banana] trees layered [with fruit]

اور تہ بر تہ چڑھے ہوئے کیلوں

And shade extended

اور دور تک پھیلی ہوئی چھاؤں

And water poured out

اور ہر دم رواں پانی

And fruit, abundant [and varied],

اور کبھی ختم نہ ہونے والے

Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden,

اور بے روک ٹوک ملنے والے بکثرت پھلوں

And [upon] beds raised high.

اور اونچی نشست گاہوں میں ہوں گے

Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation

ان کی بیویوں کو ہم خاص طور پر نئے سرے سے پیدا کریں گے

And made them virgins,

اور انہیں با کرہ بنا دیں گے

Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age,

اپنے شوہروں کی عاشق اور عمر میں ہم سن

For the companions of the right [who are]

یہ کچھ دائیں بازو والوں کے لیے ہے

A company of the former peoples

وہ اگلوں میں سے بہت ہوں گے

And a company of the later peoples.

اور پچھلوں میں سے بھی بہت

And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?

اور بائیں بازو والے، بائیں بازو والوں کی بد نصیبی کا کیا پوچھنا

[They will be] in scorching fire and scalding water

وہ لو کی لپٹ اور کھولتے ہوئے پانی

And a shade of black smoke,

اور کالے دھوئیں کے سائے میں ہوں گے

Neither cool nor beneficial.

جو نہ ٹھنڈا ہوگا نہ آرام دہ

Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence,

یہ وہ لوگ ہوں گے جو اِس انجام کو پہنچنے سے پہلے خوشحال تھے

And they used to persist in the great violation,

اور گناہ عظیم پر اصرار کرتے تھے

And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?

کہتے تھے "کیا جب ہم مر کر خاک ہو جائیں گے اور ہڈیوں کا پنجر رہ جائیں گے تو پھر اٹھا کھڑے کیے جائیں گے؟

And our forefathers [as well]?"

اور کیا ہمارے وہ باپ دادا بھی اٹھائے جائیں گے جو پہلے گزر چکے ہیں؟"

Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, the former and the later peoples

اے نبیؐ، اِن لوگوں سے کہو، یقیناً اگلے اور پچھلے سب

Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day."

ایک دن ضرور جمع کیے جانے والے ہیں جس کا وقت مقرر کیا جا چکا ہے
