Surah As-Saaffaat

Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say,

خوب سن رکھو، دراصل یہ لوگ اپنی من گھڑت سے یہ بات کہتے ہیں

" Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars.

کہ اللہ اولاد رکھتا ہے، اور فی الواقع یہ جھوٹے ہیں

Has He chosen daughters over sons?

کیا اللہ نے بیٹوں کے بجائے بیٹیاں اپنے لیے پسند کر لیں؟

What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement?

تمہیں کیا ہو گیا ہے، کیسے حکم لگا رہے ہو

Then will you not be reminded?

کیا تمہیں ہوش نہیں آتا

Or do you have a clear authority?

یا پھر تمہارے پاس اپنی ان باتوں کے لیے کوئی صاف سند ہے

Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful.

تو لاؤ اپنی وہ کتاب اگر تم سچے ہو

And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment].

اِنہوں نے اللہ اور ملائکہ کے درمیان نسب کا رشتہ بنا رکھا ہے، حالانکہ ملائکہ خوب جانتے ہیں کہ یہ لوگ مجرم کی حیثیت سے پیش ہونے والے ہیں

Exalted is Allah above what they describe,

(اور وہ کہتے ہیں کہ) "اللہ اُن صفات سے پاک ہے

Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin].

جو اُس کے خالص بندوں کے سوا دوسرے لوگ اس کی طرف منسوب کرتے ہیں

So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship,

پس تم اور تمہارے یہ معبود

You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him

اللہ سے کسی کو پھیر نہیں سکتے

Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire.

مگر صرف اُس کو جو دوزخ کی بھڑکتی ہوئی آگ میں جھلسنے والا ہو

[The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position.

اور ہمارا حال تو یہ ہے کہ ہم میں سے ہر ایک کا ایک مقام مقرر ہے

And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer].

اور ہم صف بستہ خدمت گار ہیں

And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah."

اور تسبیح کرنے والے ہیں"

And indeed, the disbelievers used to say,

یہ لوگ پہلے تو کہا کرتے تھے

"If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples,

کہ کاش ہمارے پاس وہ "ذکر" ہوتا جو پچھلی قوموں کو ملا تھا

We would have been the chosen servants of Allah."

تو ہم اللہ کے چیدہ بندے ہوتے

But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know.

مگر (جب وہ آ گیا) تو انہوں نے اس کا انکار کر دیا اب عنقریب اِنہیں (اِس روش کا نتیجہ) معلوم ہو جائے گا

And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers,

اپنے بھیجے ہوئے بندوں سے ہم پہلے ہی وعدہ کر چکے ہیں

[That] indeed, they would be those given victory

کہ یقیناً ان کی مدد کی جائے گی

And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome.

اور ہمارا لشکر ہی غالب ہو کر رہے گا

So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time.

پس اے نبیؐ، ذرا کچھ مدّت تک انہیں اِن کے حال پر چھوڑ دو

And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see.

اور دیکھتے رہو، عنقریب یہ خود بھی دیکھ لیں گے

Then for Our punishment are they impatient?

کیا یہ ہمارے عذاب کے لیے جلدی مچا رہے ہیں؟

But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned.

جب وہ اِن کے صحن میں آ اترے گا تو وہ دن اُن لوگوں کے لیے بہت برا ہو گا جنہیں متنبہ کیا جا چکا ہے

And leave them for a time.

بس ذرا اِنہیں کچھ مدت کے لیے چھوڑ دو

And see, for they are going to see.

اور دیکھتے رہو، عنقریب یہ خود دیکھ لیں گے

Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe.

پاک ہے تیرا رب، عزت کا مالک، اُن تمام باتوں سے جو یہ لوگ بنا رہے ہیں

And peace upon the messengers.

اور سلام ہے مرسلین پر

And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

اور ساری تعریف اللہ ربّ العالمین ہی کے لیے ہے
